It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's a Deer!
NO! It's Lexie!

Seriously, sometimes we think this beautiful gal doesn't realize she isn't a deer! Lexie just LOVES to jump - off the porch, off the dock into the water - she even pops over the fence and back between the dog runs - to go say Hello to the others who are out, or just because she can! She is an exceptional athlete who has a wonderfully happy personality! Like so many of our dogs, Lexie would excel at agility or dock diving for an owner with a little time to teach her what to do!

Lexie is a beautiful black chocolate and white spayed female (some people call her color "seal") that weighs in at 62 pounds.

Born approximately 3/1/04, Lexie is looking for her forever home. She is currently in foster care with several foster siblings and is doing very well.

Lexie is spayed and up to date with all vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is on her heartworm and flea preventative.

Lexie is a wonderful girl that like all our bullies is happy to greet everyone she meets. Before coming to us, Lexie had spent months living in a filthy garage with a busted crate, an open bag of Alpo and a pile of her own excrement and urine. When we met her she was pleased as could be, running to greet us. We decided we couldn't leave her another day in those conditions when, after we had placed her back into the garage, she opened the overhead garage door and ran to the car with her leash on expecting to go along -so she did just that.

Lexie LOVES her pool and WATER! She is even dock diving! Looks like she has some natural talent. Lexie is one of many that get overlooked due to her age and her color. Talk about discrimination! This spectacular girl is a GEM! She's a pleasure to have around. Lexie is so agile that she can clear most fences like a deer - it's effortless for her. That's the same way she jumps off the dock to go after her water toys. She's built like a natural athlete. With that in mind Lexie must go to an active family or individual who will give her plenty of exercise. She is an excellent running partner too! She is awesome in her crate and loves her care rides.

Lexie is a gentle soul with all the puppies, and non-confrontational with her adult foster siblings.

Too often we have had people set up appointments for a meet and greet only to be no-shows. All our dogs are in foster homes, and we at Buster appreciate that our foster families' and volunteers' time is precious, therefore we will not set up meet and greets without first receiving a completed application.
