Special Needs: Zoey has had a ruptured cruciate of her right leg and has severe arthritis in her left leg. Zoey will require supplements and possibly surgical intervention.

Zoey is one of our previously adopted girls that has made her way back to us through no fault of her own. Her previous owner had decided that he no longer wanted her and had moved out of state leaving Zoey with his mother. After much deliberating she decided that Zoey should be returned to us in hopes that we will find her another suitable home.

Zoey is an absolute doll! She is wonderful in the house and crate and she is terrific with other dogs, kitties and children. She is such a huge baby. Zoey loves everyone and is a pleasure here in rescue. I adore her.

Zoey's only fault is that she has had one surgery on her cruciate and has also developed arthritis in that joint as well as her other knee. She will have to remain on supplements and we will maintain her at a weight that is healthy for her aging joints. We will also have Zoey evaluated by an orthopaedic specialist to accurately assess her condition. Our prayer is that Zoey's knees will not keep her from being considered for adoption as she is precious! and deserves love and great care.

Too often we have had people set up appointments for a meet and greet only to be no-shows. All our dogs are in foster homes, and we at Buster appreciate that our foster families' and volunteers' time is precious, therefore we will not set up meet and greets without first receiving a completed application.
